Wow! 2017 – Cover Reveal!

January 2, 2017 by Z.A. Maxfield

Honky Tonk Hellion

Andi’s Story

Available for Preorder HERE

An all-new series from the author of My Cowboy Promises hits sultry notes as a woman shakes the dust off her small-town life.

An impulsive decision as a teenager forced Andi Chandler to put her dream of being a Nashville star on hold. Motherhood and a marriage of convenience have tied her down to the small town of Bitterroot, Texas. But now that her son is older and her husband is living life out of the closet, Andi’s ready to spread her wings and take another shot at the country music scene. Men, however, are a different story…

Malcolm never intended to catch Andi’s eye all those years ago at the rodeo. There were a million reasons it wouldn’t work—the age difference for one. He knew he should have stopped Andi from making a rash decision, but he didn’t and has lived with the shame ever since. Now that she’s a grown woman they can finally explore all those unanswered what-ifs—and just maybe, have a shot at a second chance at happiness.

Happy Fourth Of July WEEKEND!

July 2, 2016 by Z.A. Maxfield

I am celebrating being an American again even though this year it feels a little more PAINFUL.

I’m celebrating being alive, because where there’s life there’s hope.

HOPE, And FREEBIES!!!

There are TWO things worth noting today:

This weekend, Family Unit is FREE at Amazon. TELL everyone you know to get it now while it’s free. If they don’t intend to read it, tell them to tell their friends. If you need a different format, if Amazon isn’t your bag, let me know personally through email, or through my assistant William Cooper, and I’ll find you one in .epub or .PDF. Gratis. You’re welcome, and thank you for all you’ve given me over the years.

HERE IS YOUR LINK: BOOM!

LET THE WORD RING FORTH The Fourth of July is for Family Units to enjoy, so whatever kind of family you have–blood-bound, adopted, found, cobbled together from excess human body parts–find your tribe, go forth, and enjoy every second you have with them!

But wait! There’s More!

On 7/4/2016, Stirring Up Trouble and All Stirred Up will be on sale for only .99 each!

Whether you’re cozying up to a campfire in the middle of nowhere with only the stars and your special someone, or you’re rollerskating at Anime Expo wearing a Sailor Moon Costume this weekend (and YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO BE) be safe out there!

Drawn Together is back!

June 22, 2016 by Z.A. Maxfield

Drawn TogetherOne of the stories that started it all, Drawn Together is back in ebook format. I loved the old cover so much I asked P.L. Nunn, the artist who did the original cover, to do a slightly modified version of the same cover for the re-release. It’s similar but not the same and I love the colors so much!

For anyone who isn’t familiar with Drawn Together, it’s a road trip story full of humor and chance meetings and danger. It features an ordinary hero, his big crush, and his chance to prove that faithful knights sometimes get it right.

Just to be doubly clear, this is the same book, so if you’ve read it, tell a friend!

Available exclusively at Amazon for now, Look for it here!

New. Unfettered. Unabridged.

May 20, 2016 by Z.A. Maxfield

CrossingBorders_AudioV1 I have been sitting on this news since RT. Waiting to announce it.

Sparky and Officer Helmet

The Audiobook.

The narrator, Tobias Silversmith, also narrated Vanessa North’s Blueberry Boys, and Anne Tenino’s Too Stupid To Live. They’ll be recording Hell On Wheels for me in the future.

For years, I’ve dreaded putting this book in Audio. I wanted a younger, California-sounding narrator. I wanted someone with decent comic timing.  I wanted someone who feels the rhythm of my words. And there are always cash flow issues. I mean, I originally wanted Ryan Reynolds for the role, but he was busy with that Deadpool project.

And to put a cherry on top of that, I positively HATE, HATE, HATE hearing my own work read out loud by anyone but me. (‘Cause I’m a control freak.)

So this wasn’t an easy task. I’d never even heard of Dark Night Sound until they read for Hell On Wheels. But as soon as I heart that reading, I couldn’t get Tobias out of my mind. I told Amelia Vaughn from Riptide, (who is the most awesome person ON EARTH) that I thought Tobias was absolutely perfect for Crossing Borders, and she agreed.

So, with regard to my little control freak problem, we created a new side job for Amelia. Audiobook Midwife!!! Fellow authors, I seriously cannot be the only person who feels this way. Who can scrape together the cash but dreads the process of creating audiobooks. Hit me up via email, and I will share the magnificent Amelia’s email address, so she might be able to help you too.

Thanks to Amelia, Crossing Borders was produced without me getting bogged down in minutiae, or tearing off my ears and shoving them down the in-sink-erator. And I still had time to write My Cowboy Freedom. (Which is available for pre-order and is coming soon. November, I think.)

To check Crossing’s sample out, simply click on Tristan. You’ll find it on the Amazon page.

See what you think. This is the book that started everything.

Aaaaand Finally. Deep Deliverance!

March 1, 2016 by Z.A. Maxfield

Forever is a long time. Even for a vampire.

Deep, Book 3

When Adin Tredeger discovers his lover Donte’s role in turning him into a vampire, he’s outraged. The opportunity to attend Ned Harwiche’s funeral is perfect for putting some distance between them, but as a newly turned vampire, he mustn’t go alone.

Cristobel Santos—one of Donte’s lifelong enemies—and an attractive Irish vampire named Sean offer to chaperone his trip. They are as determined to help him as he is to reject their aid.

While Adin fights his new reality he’s kidnapped by rogue hunters and used as a lab rat in some skin-searing experiments. Adin’s distress electrifies his connection to Donte, but rescue is only the beginning…

Product Warnings: Hot vampires, spoiled teens, big cat shifters, and two men trying to figure out how to squeeze several lifetimes’ worth of love into every moment of their big, fat eternity. Ouch…
We’re cooking up some fun posts, interviews, and giveaways even as we speak! STAY TUNED!!!
