All The Pretty Winners!
I’m sure everyone has realized this by now, but the holidays last longer at my house. My twins were born on January first, and my daughter was born on the fifth… So we start celebrating with everyone else around the end of October and party hearty until at least Epiphany, and then there’s the clean up. I’m legitimately brainless until around well… at least the seventh. Which is today.
But I have winners to announce, and I have prizes to award, and I have new things to talk about!
First. The Cowboys of Christmas Winner is waxapplelover! I have your email address, and I’m sending your Amazon gift card right now!
Next are the winners of the Progressive Dinner. Of course we’re all winners because we got all those awesome recipes. But for the three people who win their choice of $35.00 gift cards to either Amazon, Barnes and Noble, or All Romance Ebooks, (cross your fingers) here they are:
3. Jen CW
The winner of the Grime Doesn’t Pay autographed print copy, direct from me to one lucky reader? Is: Saruby
Now that the winners are out of the way, I have NEWS!
First and foremost, we’re changing the format of the blog just a bit. In the past, we’ve offered one commenter a $5.00 Amazon gift card each week, but that only covered the Sunday Brunch blog. The problem with this is I’m a scatterbrain, and my assistant William could get confused PLUS only Sunday Brunch commenters had the chance to win. So from now on, we’ll award ONE lucky commenter a month a $20.00 Amazon gift certificate. This means we’ll be taking every comment I get on every bog post, and at the end of the month I’ll choose ONE winner. So comment away, each and every comment you leave from now on has an an opportunity to win!
And last but DEFINITELY NOT LEAST! I can’t tell you how many people have asked me about The Hours Series: Notturno, Vigil, and Matins.
My agent and I had a long talk about those books last year and it turns out, she had a new vision for them. I took a leap of faith and agreed to change the titles and place them with Samhain Publishing and a new editor, Tera Cuskaden.
As much as I loved the titles, as much as everyone enjoyed the books, I was a rank beginner when I wrote those. They needed a serious “re-vamp” if you will. (There’s no fine here for really bad puns, is there?)
We’ve retitled the books: they’re now The Deep Series and the first book, Deep Desire, is coming out ON FEBRUARY THIRD!!! Following that will be Deep Deception (the Vigil re-release) in May, and at the end of the year, the-long awaited final book in the series, Deep Deliverance (originally titled Matins) will be out in December.
And YES. Deep Desire is the same book you knew as Notturno, but it has been re-edited. For those of you who loved it, who own it, who read it and still re-read it, it’s the same story, so you don’t need to purchase it again. For those who haven’t had a chance to read this series yet, this will be the perfect time to try it. It’s a ZAM book all the way, even though it ventures into paranormal territory. If you love hot men, paranormal hostage situations, humor, and happily-ever-after this is the book for you! Deep Desire is available for pre-order at Samhain, here:
So what do you say we get this month’s comments started! Is anyone excited about the new year, the new books, and the new contests?
You know I love hearing from you. Give me a shout out! Whatcha doing out there?
Introduction and GRL Giveaway Winners!
Many of you are already semi-familiar with me, but I wanted to give a proper introduction. My name is William Cooper and I’m ZAM’s Personal Assistant/Slave Boy. Some of you have probably seen me around at GRL or on Facebook or have already been emailed by me. With her crazy-busy release schedule, ZAM was getting buried under her workload. So she brought me on board to her help her get back on track.
I’m going to be helping manage her blog and handle her prizes and giveaways, including her Sunday Brunches and Tuesday Teasers. If you’ve won a digital prize (an ebook or giftcard, etc.) then it’ll come from me! If you’ve won a physical prize or a personalized prize, then it will still come from ZAM. If you’re owed a prize and haven’t yet received it, please send me an email at AuthorAssistants (at) gmail.com and I’ll make sure to get it to you ASAP!
In other news, we’ve also chosen the three winners for ZAM Swag Bags stuffed with GRL swag! Congratulations to Sula Holland, Denise Dechene, and Jean Reads! You should each be receiving an email from me shortly.
I hope everyone enjoys the rest of their week! Don’t forget to check out this week’s Tuesday Teaser feature Alex Beecroft!
Saturday (with a chance to win!)
As you know, Family Unit has recently been created in an AUDIO version! I’ve already had a super secret Newsletter-Subscriber-Only Contest (Be sure to subscribe to my newsletter–use the sign up form on the sidebar–for a chance at those exclusive contests, because newsletter subscribers get all the good stuff first!)
Now I’m free to share the bounty a little, and I’ve created a contest for everyone!
You’ll have three chances to win! Just follow the rafflecopter instructions, it’s that simple. At the end of the contest, I’ll pick three random winners and announce them here.
Here’s Family Unit’s blurb:
A retired marine, Logan is methodical and conservative. Richard is a liberal pacifist who is pathologically afraid of guns. Yet the minute Logan sets eyes on Richard, his heart turns over like an old car engine, and it isn’t long before his motor is revved and Richard is in the driver’s seat – even if it seems like each man is driving a different car. Richard Hunter is parenting his grandson, and the kid – Nick – has had it rough. Richard vows nothing will stop him from creating a loving and stable home. Not even a tempting, red-hot relationship with a very attractive man.
However, when Richard looks into Logan’s blue eyes, it’s tough to stay focused. It’s never easy to become a family, what with a temperamental eight-year-old, disapproving outsiders, and outright extortion attempts. But when push comes to shove, both Logan and Richard are committed family men who want to make a loving home for a little boy who needs them. Together, they’re planning to form a Family Unit, and they won’t let anything stand in their way.

Thanks to all the bloggers and readers out there for making my book launch fun, successful, and easy!
XOXO, love to you all!
I’m playing catch up here, folks. I can’t believe it’s been nearly three months since Fugitive Color came out. Friday may be for Fugitives, but Monday is for Mea Culpas…
At some point, I think I lost the last thread to my sanity because I looked at my posts to find where I’d announced the winners of my Fugitive Color Audio book contest, and I didn’t have one. Not even a pending post…
What. The. HELL??
So instead of just one person winning, I picked three of the commenters from that post, and I’m sending each of you a complimentary copy of the audio book.
I really do have a personal assistant, and I’m no longer going to be afraid to use him… I LOVE writing. LOVE it. I love disappearing into my writing cave and coming out holding some kind of newborn, whether it’s a book or a blog post or a novella or a short story, or simply a fun email I sent to a friend.
The whole calendar thing? Making appointments and keeping them? Remember when things are due? Updating twitter and Facebook and my blog? Not so much…
I am THIS close to finishing some new cowboys. THIS *pinches fingers together* close. But I really don’t want anyone to think I’m a tool, or that I offer prizes and then fail to deliver.
So…The winners are:
Michelle, Readercat, and Paula!
Look for emails with instructions today!
